Introduction to Watercolor - 6 Monday Morning Sessions
10am to 11:30pm July 19, 26, Aug 2, 9, 16, 23 Location: Victory Tabernacle - 254 South Main Street, Cattaraugus, NY 14719 This is an introductory class suitable tor those who have no experience with watercolor or those who are coming back to painting after a long break. There's no need to be afraid of this medium with it's daunting reputation. Robin mixes humor with easy step by step demonstrations to help you get in touch with your artistic side. There will be no stone unturned or question unexplored about the basics of this very exciting medium. By the end of this session, participants will not only walk away with their own painting (or two) but will also be be familiar with several watercolor techniques and be able to mix colors like a pro. This class will be limited to 12 students. Introduction to Gouache - 6 Monday Evening Sessions

Gouache is a water-based paint that can be likened to a watercolor/acrylic cross. In the past, it was mainly used by illustrators, but is making strong inroads in the fine art world. In this class you will learn how to build a painting though the use of a simple 3 step method and gain new meaning for the words, tea, coffee, cream and butter. Robin mixes humor with easy step by step demonstrations to help you get you moving in this fun medium.
