Day 10: The Farm

3/10/2020

Day 10: Today was another rainy day, but rainy days have their own sleepy charm. I love the subtleties in the sky and the haze that settles over the valleys...Yes, I have always been a bit of a weather nerd.

I have now officially painted this farm from every possible angle. Twenty years ago this was my home and this was the view I would see whether I was coming home from the grocery store or coming home from an extended trip. It was always the same, that feeling of belonging to a place. Even though I no longer climb the steps and turn the weathered door knob on the side porch, this place will always speak of home. I guess Dorothy, in the Wizard of Oz was right, “there’s no place like home”.

Pull up a chair, put up your feet and listen to a few stories while the paint dries.
