Spring Red

Day 15: this morning I took Cutter, my dog and faithful studio assistant for a long walk. The morning air was crisp, the sun shone brightly with not a cloud in the sky. It was a beautiful, Western New York Spring day. I usually walk in silence but today I had my EarPods in, listening to a podcast. I was trying to do a little multitasking, which I think kind of defeats the purpose of a walk. Other than good exercise, walks tend to clear my head. Today I was cheating myself of that experience... that was until I noticed the light on one of my neighbors barns. The farm stands on top of a large hill and has a million dollar view, but today, the million dollar view was reversed. The red barn glowed in the morning sun on top of the sleepy sepia and umber foliage that surround it. I stopped and removed the ear pods and tried to memorize the colors that were on display before me.
